The SUMMIT project, at full speed.

June 10, 2013

Sport is healthy, but t should be practiced safely.  The SUMMIT project, led by Emma Roca, wants to evaluate what are the physical conditions and the changes that the  extreme ultra-endurance sport generates In a group of 130 volunteers, chosen from over 2,000 candidates who volunteered to participate in the study, a variety of tests have been performed to determine their basic fitness and how this status has changed after making a mountain race . We put the body under too much stress? can we improve recovery?, do they arrive dehydrated?. These are some of the questions that the study seeks to answer.

The race took place last weekend. One hundred volunteers worked hard to get all the data. Thanks to all of them.
